Who We Are
Principals:
John Alexander is an executive coach, consultant, author, lecturer, and senior executive with more than 30 years’ experience in the U.S. and abroad. From 1997-2007, Alexander served as President and CEO of the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL). During his tenure, CCL was consistently ranked among the world’s top providers of non-degree executive education. Before joining CCL’s staff in 1990 in a senior public relations role, Alexander pursued an 18-year career as an award-winning newspaper editor and writer, during which he was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. He is the author of numerous articles and book chapters on topics related to leadership, ethics, coaching, and governance. He has a BA in English Literature with Highest Honors from Princeton University and an M.A. in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Magdalen College, Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar. He is currently completing a two-year appointment as the Isabella Cannon Distinguished Visiting Professor of Leadership at the new Elon University School of Law in Greensboro, NC.
Lynne Alexander has pursued dual careers as an artist and educator. She founded and for 15 years ran a successful business as a porcelain artist. She displayed her work at prestigious national craft shows and galleries and won many awards. She has taught English literature, including Advanced Placement English, at high schools in Burlington, MA, Charlotte, and Guilford County, NC. Certified by the Canadian Institute of Stress, Lynne is currently working as a stress and wellness coach. She is a member of the NeuroLeadership Institute. She has served on several non-profit and community boards and worked as a volunteer for adult literacy. Lynne holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MA from Jacksonville (FL) University. She also pursued graduate work at the University of Pennsylvania and Wake Forest University.
She and her husband John have two grown children, Chris and Louisa. Tennis and rescue dogs are two of her passions.
